About Dalhousie SPRING
Who are we?
Dalhousie SPRING is a dedicated student volunteer program with the goal of providing recreational activities for kids with complex care needs and/or disability. We meet weekly on Sundays for two hours (10am-12pm) at Dalhousie's Dalplex gymnasium and pool.
What does an average Sunday at SPRING look like?
Our two hour sessions consist of an hour of gym + an hour of pool time for buddies and their volunteers. Each Buddy is paired with at least two experienced volunteers, who are able to provide care and adaptations in activities that are tailored to your child's needs!

We believe in the power of supportive recreational programming to create positive change in the lives of children with complex care needs. Our goal is to provide them with healthy experiences and support, empowering them to embrace their unique abilities and create fun memories!

Our Vision
At SPRING we are continuously striving to grow our program in order to further meet the needs of those within the Halifax community.
Our vision is to inspire a community where every child with complex care needs has the opportunity to experience the joy of physical activities and unwavering support.
